Ice forecasts for the Gulf of St. Lawrence issued by Environment
Canada at 10:00 A.M. EDT Monday 20 April 2026 for today tonight and
Tuesday.
The next scheduled forecasts will be issued at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday.

First ice edge estimated from Cape Breton Island near 4702N 6025W to
4745N 6115W to Gaspe Peninsula near 4846N 6410W. Sea ice southwest
of the ice edge. 

Second ice edge estimated from Quebec near 4920N 6722W to 5005N
6600W to 4945N 6015W to Newfoundland near 4806N 5905W. Sea ice north
of the ice edge. 

Pointe-des-Monts to Anticosti - northern half.
Open water. Consolidated rotten first-year ice near Sept-Îles. 

Pointe-des-Monts to Anticosti - southern half.
Ice free. 

Pointe à Michel to Pointe-des-Monts
Tadoussac to Pointe à Michel.
Open water.

coasts.
